When you walk through our doors, our Quest Givers are ready to help you navigate The Outpost, our fully stocked retail floor featuring the best in board games, TCGs, and RPG supplies. Looking to stay a while? Pull up a chair in The Tavern for casual open play and weekly events, or book The War Room for an immersive, private campaign experience with your party. The story so far...
What started in 2025 as the first and only mobile board game shop in Texas—run straight out of a 26-foot trailer—has officially leveled up. After hitting the road and rolling dice with so many incredible players, the husband and wife team realized this community needed a permanent home base! So, in early 2026, along with some friends made along the way, the group put down roots at 475 Bluebonnet Road (right across from the Den!). The group created a sanctuary for tabletop gamers right here in La Vernia.

The Outpost (retail shop)
When you walk through our doors, our Quest Givers are ready to help you navigate our fully stocked retail floor. We carry the best in board games, trading card games like Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon, and all the TTRPG supplies you need to slay your next dragon.

We're also happy to look into carrying new items or finding specific things you're looking for - just ask!
The Tavern (open play area)
Looking to stay a while? Pull up a chair in The Tavern. This is our open-play area designed for casual games, weekly leagues, and meeting new party members.

Please no outside food or drinks (unless previously sanctioned by an architect or quest giver).
The War Room (private room)
For those seeking a more immersive experience, you can reserve The War Room for a private, premium gaming session with your group.

The Sheehan Clan
After years of service and moving from two countries and four bases, our military family learned that 'home' is wherever you find your community. Throughout our journey, board games were a constant anchor that kept our family connected and helped us make new friends in every zip code. Now that we've planted our roots here, we are thrilled to launch Come And Play It. Our mission is to provide our community with a premier space to gather, play, and connect.
